    A: All students are required to have a MyMDC Account (a free service) before attending any computer classes.

    Students can sign up to MyMDC Account by visiting the Computer Courtyards at any of the MDC College campuses.

    If a student wants to take a higher level class without taking the previous level first:

    Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE)

    A: Prior to enrollment, you must complete the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE). To schedule a test date please call (305) 237-1015. For TABE information, please visit: http://www.mdc.edu/north/newstudentcenter/testing.asp

    Proof of Florida residency,Goverment/State issued picture ID, social security card, and age waiver (if you are 16-17 yrs of age).

    Once you complete the TABE, you can begin the GED preparation courses online or at one of our campuses.

    This program is offered to you at no cost, but you may purchase addistional materials to you help prepare for the test.

    GED testing fee is $50.00 and there are several testing sites; for locations visit: http://data.fldoe.org/gedsites/.

    Go to Room 1160 or Call (305) 237 -1015 to make an appointment for the TABE test.

    Documents required for test: a) College Admission - College Student Number. b) Florida Picture ID.

    After 3 working days, go in person to Room 1125 for your test results, placement and pre-registration. Please bring in your social security card and Florida ID..
