THE WORLD GOES ‘ROUND FOR TWO NIGHTS
AT MIAMI DADE COLLEGE
MIAMI, November 30, 2007 – The Wolfson Opera/Music Theater Ensemble at Miami Dade College (MDC) will tackle a wide range of human emotions in the critically-acclaimed musical The World Goes ‘Round, the Songs of Kander and Ebb.
The cast takes to the stage at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, at the MDC Wolfson Campus Auditorium, Building 1, Room 1261. A second show has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14, at the same location.
Kander and Ebb was one of Broadway’s greatest and longest-running songwriting teams. The musical, which originally opened in 1991, is an eclectic collection of the duo’s love songs, torch songs and comic numbers by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman and David Thompson. The musical’s title was taken from a Kander and Ebb tune written for Liza Minnelli.
Tickets for the show are $10 for the general public. MDC students, faculty and staff can obtain tickets for $5 with proper ID.
