Aviation Administration*

The Aviation Administration program is designed to prepare students to succeed in the dynamic Aviation industry. The program focuses on the necessary entry-level skills for most Aviation employment fields. Accordingly, graduates find opportunities in airline sales and reservations, air cargo, airport operations, and data entry positions required by airlines and entry-level management opportunities.

Students learn the latest in management philosophy, computer technology, customer service, and industry operations. The American Airlines SABRE computerized reservations system is included in this program. We have excellent cooperative education programs available as well.

Aviation Maintenance Management*

If you hold an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, Aviation Maintenance Management is your next natural step. The 38 additional credits required to complete the degree consist of general education and college-level aviation management coursework. Students are eilgible to receive 45 credits for their A&P Certificate after succesfully completing just 12 credits at MDC.

Professional Pilot Technology*

The Professional Pilot Technology program provides students with training and curriculum designed to meet the challenging Regional Airline requirements for pilots. Graduates of the program will have earned the following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificates: Private pilot, Commercial pilot, Single-Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument Airplane. In addition, these certificates can be applied toward a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate.

* Requirements for all Associate degrees
A) Complete at least 15 of the last 30 credits applied toward the degree at Miami Dade College
B) Complete a minimum of 24 credits in discipline related courses at Miami Dade College for associate in Science degree programs
