Federal Aviation Aviation (FAA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Exams

 

The MDCC Aviation Department is an FAA-approved CATS testing site. A variety of piloting and aviation maintenance knowledge exams are available. A picture ID and instructor endorsement are required for most exams. Students must come prepared with plotter, flight computer, and or calculator.

Flight Simulators

 

A variety of courses are geared to pilots wishing to upgrade their certificate or obtain proficiency in instrument procedures. Students have the opportunity to train on some of today's most popular General Aviation flight training devices (FTDs).

These FTDs digital technology provides flexibility to simulate various aircraft performance models. These include the Cessna 172, Piper Seminole, Piper Aztec, Cessna 310, Cessna 402, and others. Equipped with HSI, RMI, and RNAV, they allow a variety of navigation training scenarios. They are ideal for instrument and multi-engine training as well as interview preparation.

Flight Dispatcher

 

This course complies with the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Part 65, Appendix A, and is approved by the FAA. Succesful completion of this course qualifies the graduate to take both the written and practical examinations for the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
