Florida private secondary schools that wish to participate in the Dual Enrollment program at Miami Dade College, must contact the Office of the Associate Provost of Academic Affairs/School and College Relations and certify in writing that they are in compliance with the Florida Department of Education:
- Section 1002.42, Florida Statutes - participation in the Annual Private School survey and
- Section 1003.43, Florida Statutes - that it offers a secondary curriculum that meets the general requirements for high school graduation (24 academic credits in grades 9-12)
Students enrolled in Florida private high schools that comply with the above mentioned Florida statutes will not assessed fees, but must pay for their own books, and provide their own transportation.
The same eligibility requirements apply for public or private students in terms of GPA, and appropriate placement (testing) scores.
