Enrollment management is a comprehensive plan to guide an institution toward its desired enrollment state which addresses both recruitment and retention. Goals and a summary of accomplishments are presented below.

- Target groups identified in the Campus Recruitment and Retention Plans
- Innovations in Student Services initiative begun
- Planned: Develop empirically derived profiles of successful students
- Planned: Develop a system to respond to and track inquiries
- Service Excellence Initiative begun
- Expanded use of surveys for Graduating Students, Enrolled Students, Administrative Services, and Adult Basic Education Students
- Focus Groups conducted for College Prep, Mathematics, and ESL/ENS Students; Parents and High School Seniors
- Focus Group Results used by Math Roundtables and programs funded by Learning Innovations; presented in New Faculty Orientations; currently being reviewed with Chairs
- Planned: Focus groups with students in Allied Health and Nursing, students transferring with and without a degree, and MDC faulty and staff
- Planned: Develop system that tracks students from initial inquiry to graduation
- Planned: Establish a process for changing prospects into admitted/enrolled students
