Introduction to Baccalaureate Development, Approval, and Implementation
The Office of Academic Programs (OAP) provides resource and guidance for college-wide schools/disciplines in the development, implementation, and maintenance of baccalaureate programs. OAP also serves as the liaison between Miami Dade College (MDC) and the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) to ensure that all programs comply with appropriate policies and regulations.
Baccalaureate Development, Approval, and Implementation
The baccalaureate proposal application process involves several steps that typically take a year or more to complete. This process is outlined in section 1007.33, Florida Statutes and in 6A-14.095, Florida Administrative Code. Detailed instructions, timelines, and all application documents can be found on the Division of Florida College’ (DFC) website: State Application
