Description
Founded in 1890, IIT’s traditions span more than a century of innovation and educational leadership. The University has several campuses and offers a wide range of degree programs: engineering, including telecommunications and software engineering, biomedical imaging and signals, and food process engineering, as well as range of degrees in applied technology, architecture and the sciences.
Transfer Agreement Highlights

IIT has prepared specific transfer guidelines including MDC/IIT equivalencies for several majors (Architecture, Biology, Business/ Management, Communications, Engineering, Psychology, etc.) to facilitate a seamless transfer and degree completion. ITT will award up to two years of credit to any graduate of MDC for courses equivalent to lower division IIT courses, and applicable to the specific IIT program to which a student is admitted. IIT will accept a maximum of 68 credit hours of coursework successfully completed at MDC. ITT will ensure a smooth transition for MDC students, providing them with additional academic and personal support. Each MDC student will be assigned an academic advisor in his/her major department at IIT.

Scholarships

Students with a GPA of at least 3.6 may receive a Presidential Scholarship of up to $23,500 per year for up to three years, provided the student maintains full time enrollment, good academic standing, and participates in volunteer community service. Presidential Scholars may also receive a partial housing scholarship of $5,000 per year.  Presidential Scholars ,and other outstanding MDC transfer students may also apply to receive an undergraduate research summer stipend of $5,000 for the summer between their first and 2nd years.  

An MDC student who does not receive a Presidential Scholarship will be automatically considered for a Transfer Scholarship—up to $12,000 annually or a PTK Scholarship if $5,000 annually. These students may also receive a $2,500 Housing scholarship.
