The Miami Dade College Women’s Basketball team finished the season with an overall record of 10-20, 6-9 conference. The Lady Sharks were led by sophomores Jasmine Burger with 10.5ppg, 5.0rpg, 3.2 ast and 3.3 stl and Adenike Dawodu 10.3ppg, and 7.1 rpg. The Lady Sharks had one player named to the FCSAA/NJCAA All-State Team Jasmin Burger. They placed two players on the First team All-Southern Conference: Jasmin Burger and Ann Marie Harris. Named to Second Team All-Southern Conference is Adenike Dawodu and Vernessa Hinnant.

 
 

 
 

The Miami Dade College Sharks Men’s Basketball team concludes the season with an overall record of 9-20-1, 0-12 conference. The Sharks had freshman Michael Calder make the 2013 All-Southern Conference First Team. Calder averaged 11.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.1 apg,and 1.1 stlpg. Two players made the Second team; Muhammed Ahmed, 11.7 ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.4 stl, and Daniel Herrera, 12.6ppg, 4.4rpg.

 
 

 


 
 

The Miami Dade College Softball team finishes the season with an overall record of 29-16, 13-3 Conference and 2013 Southern Conference Champions. The Lady Sharks finish the season scoring 203 runs, a .340 Batting Average, and .393 On Base Percentage. The Lady sharks were ranked #3 in the last FCSAA Region VIII Coaches poll and #9 in the NJCAA National Poll. While at the FCSAA/Region VIII State Tournament, the Lady Sharks went 2-2.Freshman Maria Veno made the All-Tournament team and Alexandra Schneider was named to the FCSAA/NJCAA All-State First team, alongside Cassandra Perez and Kayla Ogle named to the Second team. The Lady Sharks were also the Southern Conference Champions and placed five players on the All-Southern Conference First Team: Evelyn Morgado, Alexandra Schneider, Kayla Ogle, Cassandra Perez and Raquelli Bianco and two players to the All-Southern Conference Second Team, Vanessa Ortiz and Amanda Labrador. Head Coach Gina DeAguero was named 2013 Southern Conference Coach of the Year.

 
 


 
 

The Miami Dade College Shark Baseball team wraps up the season with an overall record of 38-10, 19-5 conference record and walked away winning the 2013 Southern Conference Champion Title. The baseball team had two players named 2013 FCSAA All-State first team, Victor Caratini and Omar Garcia while three players were named All-State Second team, Jose Gomez, Steven Negron and Ivan Palez. The Southern Conference named seven of Miami Dade College baseball players First Team All-Southern Conference: Jose Gomez, Omar Garcia, Victor Caratini, Steven Negron, Danny De La Calle, Ivan Perez and Kyle Carter while five players were named Second Team, Mario Amaral, Robert Llera, Kyle Carter(DH), Perez and Baranik. Victor Caratini was named Southern Conference player of the year and Coach Danny Price was named 2013 Southern Conference Coach of the Year. The Baseball team finished the season scoring 351 runs, a .346 batting average, and .420 On Base Percentage.

MDC Lady Sharks Softball Team Clinches 2013 Southern Conference Title The Miami Dade College (MDC) Softball team has clinched the 2013 Southern Conference Championship. The team is currently ranked No. 4 in the latest FCSAA Region VIII Baseball Poll with a record of 27-11, 13-3 in conference. As of this week's NJCAA National Poll the Lady Sharks are ranked as the No. 13 team in the nation. The MDC Softball team has scored 202 runs, batted in 180 RBI's, 10 homeruns and is hitting .359 avg.

 
 

 

 
 

MDC Sharks Baseball Team Clinches 2013 Southern Conference Title The Miami Dade College (MDC) Baseball team has clinched the 2013 Southern Conference Championship. The team is currently ranked No. 2 in the latest FCSAA Region VIII Baseball Poll with a record of 32-6, 16-3 in conference. In the most recent NJCAA National Poll, 4/10/13, the Sharks are ranked as the No. 11 team in the nation. The MDC Baseball team has scored 328 runs, batted in 289 RBI's, and is hitting .358 avg.

The Miami Dade College Sharks Baseball team is currently Ranked No. 2 in the latest FCSAA State Ranking, with a team record of 17-3,2-0. They began conference play this week, and defeated Palm Beach State two times in two days with scores of 12-4 & 7-6. Victor Caratini-Freshman from Puerto Rico was named the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Baseball Player of the Week. He batted .583 (7-for-12) with seven runs scored, two home runs and 10RBI in four games during the voting period.

The MDC Men's Basketball team ended their season with a conference loss to Palm Beach State 62-86. The Sharks placed three players on the All-Southern Conference Teams. Freshman, Michael Calder was named First Team All-Southern Conference, and sophomore Daniel Herrera and freshman Ahmed Muhammed were named Second Team All-Conference.
