The Miami Dade College Sharks wrapped up the season with an overall record of 38-10, a conference record of 19-5, and walked away winning the 2013 Southern Conference Champion Title. Five players were named 2013 FCSAA All-State Team (First Team: Victor Caratini and Omar Garcia; and Second Team: Jose Gomez, Steven Negron and Ivan Palez). Twelve players were selected to the All-Conference Team (First Team: Jose Gomez, Omar Garcia, Victor Caratini, Steven Negron, Danny De La Calle, Ivan Perez and Kyle Carter; Second Team: Mario Amaral, Robert Llera, Kyle Carter(DH), Perez and Baranik). Victor Caratini was named Southern Conference Player of the Year and Danny Price was named 2013 Southern Conference Coach of the Year.
After the Major League Baseball Draft, two of Miami Dade Colleges very own were drafted to compete at the next level.
The Miami Dade College Sharks left many teams in their wake in pursuit of a national title, but were unable to overcome red-hot Iowa Western.
On the brink of elimination, the Sharks stepped up to the plate and beat Spartanburg Methodist 13-2.
