Sharks place 14 on FCCAA All Southern Conference Teams
The Miami Dade College Baseball team finished the regular season 37-10, 17-7 in conference, No. 1 in the State, and No. 6 in the Nation. MDC Baseball are the 2009 Southern Conference Champions. Mycal Jones is named Southern Conference Player of the Year, Logan Dodds Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year, and Head Coach Steve Hertz Conference Coach of the Year.
The MDC Baseball Team places 14 players on the All Southern Conference Teams. Seven Sharks have been named 1st Team All Southern Conference: Mycal Jones, Logan Dodds, Jabari Blash, Jose Behar, David Vidal, Chris Pelaez, and Joel Capote. Three named to 2nd Team All Southern Conference: Rick Perez, Yoandy Barosso, and Adrian Morales as well as six named Honorable Mention: Raydel Sanchez, Jonathan Abreu, Eric Curtis, and Osmani Sanchez.
The Sharks will be competing in the FCCAA State Tournament May 8-12, in Winter Haven, FL.
