2013-2014 Season

The MDC men's basketball team completes the 2013-2014 season with an overall record of 21-10, 7-5 in the Southern Conference. This season marked the return of the Sharks to the FCSAA State Tournament, as they had not qualified for the tournament since 2009. During this season the team averaged 80.3 ppg, 38.8 rpg, and 17.5assists per game. The Sharks were ranked 6th in the nation for 3 pointers made per game (9.7), and 23rd in the nation for assists per game at 17.5. At the conclusion of the season the Sharks had sophomores Darius Perkins (18.8 ppg), Michael Calder (12 ppg), and Tre Boutilier (10.7 ppg) who is ranked 13th in the NJCAA for offensive rebounds, made the All-Southern Conference First team. While sophomore Johnson December made All -Southern Conference Second Team and freshman Jaylin Gilbert received Honorable Mention.
