The Miami Dade College (MDC) Head Baseball coach Danny Price claims his 1200th win against Palm Beach State on Saturday, March 22 with the final score being 14-6. Coach Price began his career of Florida International University (FIU) and was a Head Coach there for 28 years before coming to MDC to continue his legacy and keep one of the best Junior College baseball teams on the map.
"It is more about relationships and the existing friendships that last the longest and get teams and coaches to work the best together." says Coach Price
Coach Price won his 1000th game in 2005 where he was the 32nd all-time to win 1,000 games and he never would have thought that he would still be on the field helping young baseball players excel in all areas of the game.
"The thing about winning games is that the student-athletes win the games and the coaches lose the games" says Coach Price. "I am happy that I am surrounded by student-athletes and coaches that have helped us reach this point in my career."
Since the 1200th win the MDC Sharks have been on a winning streak and are ranked 10th in the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Coaches Poll and are 1st in the Southern Conference.
"This team has been through a lot this season and we are all growing together, I am looking forward to the rest of the season and what it has in store for our team."
