Though the Miami Dade College Lady Sharks Basketball team's record may not show promise, they have proven to stay competitive and ready to play basketball after the fall break. The Lady Sharks have completed the first half of their season with an overall record of 3-10.
Stand out players who are leading the team in different categories include sophomores Jordyn Bond, Vernessa Hinnant, Channel Davis, and freshman Alexis Ungro.
The Lady Sharks believe that the challenges they have faced so far this season are only going to make them stronger through conference play. They are ready to come out and show everyone what they have been working so hard to do: win a conference title.
When the Lady Sharks come back, they will have to be ready to compete in the Southern Conference. Their first challenge will be against St. Louis Community College on January 7th at home followed by a game on January 8th at Broward College.
