The Miami Dade College Men’s Basketball team are out to prove themselves worthy with a five-game winning streak to start the season. The Sharks defeated TAAG Academy, 100-77. This is the third time this season that the team has scored 100 points or more and all games were won on our home court.
Sophomore Darius Perkins led the team with 22 points while sophomore transfer Michael Ramey scored 16 points, grabbed three rebounds, and two steals. Freshman Prince Cooper finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.
Not only the did the Sharks remain undefeated this week, they also signed two players to NCAA Division I programs. Prince Cooper signed with the University of Louisiana-Monroe, which is in the Sunbelt Conference, and Darius Perkins signed with the University of Utah, a PAC 12 conference team.
"I am really looking forward to the new experience and it is a great opportunity for me to continue my education and playing basketball," says Perkins.
