At the conclusion of the softball National Championship, the NJCAA released its All-Americans for the 2014 season. Two of our own Lady Sharks made the cut: Freshman Milena Calixto made First Team All-American and Sophomore Raquelli Bianco made Third Team All-American.
Calixto led the team on the pitching mound closing with season with a 20-8 pitching record in 186 innings pitched and a 1.02 ERA. Calixto also had a good batting average batting .315 and a .483 slugging percentage. Bianco, who made third team, closed the season out batting .429 and a .679 slugging percentage. Throughout the season she had 60 hits, 33 RBIs, and 8 homeruns.
Bianco will continue playing softball at Embry Riddle while Calixto will return to play for the Lady Sharks in the 2015 season.
