Careers in Biotechnology

When exploring possible careers, you might think that a career in Biotechnology would require you to be a scientist with a Ph.D.  However, the growth of the industry has caused a shift in the types of workers needed to fill the critical skills gap. This dynamic industry is in need of laboratory technicians, research assistants, chemical and instrumentation technicians, quality control inspectors, and computer specialists.  The Biotechnology Program at Miami Dade College was designed to prepare you for a career in this field.
