Ray Fernandez joined MDC in 1978. He received a Bachelors Degree in Economics, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Masters of Science of Finance from Florida International University. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is the owner of a local financial planning firm. He holds Series 6, 26, 62, 63, 65, and 215 licenses with the State of Florida, and is certified as a Registered Financial Consultant. He has been recognized as the Outstanding Scholar in Finance by Florida International University, and has been awarded the Friends of Miami-Dade Endowed Teaching Chair.
