Workshop: Integration Artifact Reflections/Curriculum

Course ID - CTD0290a

Short Title: Integration Artifact

 Audience     Adjunct Faculty
Length of Workshop:        1 hour

The Florida Department of Education requires that all students in state-approved teacher education programs demonstrate mastery of the Florida Educatorís Accomplished Practices standards (FEAPs). The Electronic Portfolio (E-Portfolio) is developed by the student in LiveText as s/he progresses through the K-12 Teacher Education end Educator Preparation Institute programs. The E-Portfolio houses artifacts (revised assignments with reflections) that demonstrate mastery of the FEAPs. The E-Portfolio is evaluated before the student can begin student teaching. All adjunct faculty members must understand the artifact reflection writing process in order to advance the mission of the School of Education and adhere to state requirements. This workshop will provide adjunct faculty with the information, skills, and resources needed to effectively integrate the AIM for 3 artifact reflections into their courses. Moreover, this workshop will provide adjunct faculty with the knowledge needed to help students write exemplary artifact reflections for inclusion in the E-Portfolio.

* Adjunct faculty will be compensated at a rate of $20.00/hour upon successful completion of the workshop.  While you are welcome to take a workshop more than once, CTD can only compensate adjunct faculty for the first time that they take one of these workshops.

As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss how elements of course assignments integrate into the K-12 Teacher Education and EPI programs' E-Portfolios
  • Assist students in organizing artifact reflections in their respective courses.
  • Provide students with constructive feedback on artifact reflections
  • Direct students to appropriate artifact reflection resources and support services available within the School of Education
  • Review the SOE E-portfolio Resource page
