Description:
All Adjunct faculty must understand the E-Portfolio development and review process in order to advance the mission of the School of Education and adhere to state requirements. This workshop will provide adjunct faculty with the information, skills, and resources needed to effectively help students integrate appropriate artifacts into the E-Portfolio and write exemplary reflections.
 

* Adjunct faculty will be compensated at a rate of $20.00/hour upon successful completion of the workshop. While you are welcome to take a workshop more than once, CTD can only compensate adjunct faculty for the first time that they take one of these workshops.

Objectives

As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify course artifacts appropriate for inclusion in the E-Portfolio 
  • Explain the School of Education's E-Portfolio development and review process to students
  • Provide students with constructive feedback on artifact reflections
  • Direct students to appropriate resources and support services available within the School of Education
  • Review the SOE E-Portfolio Resource page
  • Assess a mock School of Education E-Portfolio artifact reflection using a scoring rubric in live Text

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.  

New - Easier registration for workshops

You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer.    Example:   Richard Johnson  would be rjohnson     (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
