 Audience    Adjunct Faculty 
Length of Workshop:       2 hours 

This workshop will provide adjunct faculty members with the requisite knowledge and experience to effectively use scoring rubrics in Live Text to assess EPI student's work. Additionally, this workshop will provide adjunct faculty members with an understanding of how data collected in rubrics impacts decision making and  state reporting requirements.

* Adjunct faculty will be compensated at a rate of $20.00/hour upon successful completion of the workshop. While you are welcome to take a workshop more than once, CTD can only compensate adjunct faculty for the first time that they take one of these workshops.



As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Examine and  discuss a Live Text scoring rubric with other adjunct faculty member teaching the same course
  • Assess a mock SOE assignment using Z scoring rubric in Live Text
  • Explain how data collected in scoring rubrics feed into the Student Progress report, as well as other Live Text reports used for decision making and state reporting requirements

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.  

New - Easier registration for workshops

You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer.    Example:   Richard Johnson  would be rjohnson     (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
