In this self-paced online workshop, participants learn how to define workplace harassment, identify examples of verbal, visual, and physical conduct that can contribute to a hostile work environment and explain where to access Miami Dade College's policy regarding a hostile free working and learning environment.  Please note the special login information for this workshop listed below.*

You can begin this workshop at any time the day after you register, but all work must be completed by the end date of the workshop.     This workshop should take approximately 1.5 hours; however, you do not have to complete it all at one time.  Since this online workshop has sound, your computer should have speakers or a headset.  If your computer does not have audio, please go to the CT&D lab on your campus to complete the program.    See open lab schedule.

Objectives

As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define workplace harassment
  • Identify examples of verbal, visual, and physical conduct that can contribute to a hostile work environment
  • Explain where to access Miami Dade College's policy regarding a hostile free working and learning environment

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.

You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer.    Example:   Richard Johnson  would be rjohnson     (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
