This presentation will introduce the audience to an introduction of The Holocaust via a presentation and discussion of the 1955 documentary "Night and Fog" by Alain Resnais.  Covered in the lecture will be how to introduce the topic in different courses, life in the camps, the response of the world community, arts, literature and music of the camps and the American response.  Also, bringing past events and comparing them to present/future acts of mass genocide.



As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the historical sequence of The Holocaust
  • Explain the main objectives of Nazi Germany
  • Identify teaching opportunities to present the material in a variety of classes
  • Develop group work in analyzing historical facts to present day acts

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
