Description:
Recognizing the increased responsibilities and challenges facing the College today, this four module workshop provides the opportunity to learn applicable skills and
techniques to promote a positive and productive workshop environment.

Module 1: RESILIENCY will cover the key concepts of resilient behavior and how to be proactive when faced with the challenge of change

Module 2: INSPIRE will cover the key behaviors that inspire motivation among leaders and team members

Module 3: SERVICE SATISFACTION will focus upon participants' abilities to promote service satisfaction for both internal and external customers

Module 4: EVOLVING will pull together the ideas and skills learned in earlier sessions to develop a personal SWOT Analysis for the future growth and development

The RISE Program will be evaluated via a CTD online workshop survey evaluation to capture participants' perceptions of their learning. Sixty days following the conclusion of the program, participants will be surveyed again to confirm if they have been able to apply what they learned to their work at the college.

Participants must attend all four modules

Objectives

As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify positive components in the change process
  • Describe some key characteristics of resilient people
  • Identify seven key needs for motivating your team
  • Explain the role of trust in motivating a team
  • Explain the concept of "unspoken wants and needs"
  • Identify service "turns offs"
  • Describe the key components of service recovery
  • Identify ways to hold each other accountable for service excellence
  • Develop a personal action plan for future growth and development

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.  

New - Easier registration for workshops

You can access the Registration System and register for a CTD workshop using the same user name and password that use to login to your computer.    Example:   Richard Johnson  would be rjohnson     (You will NOT need to create a separate student myMDC account to register for a CTD workshop) 

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
