This workshop is designed for department chairs, school directors and deans who supervise faculty who will be attending an 8-hour workshop on Authentic Assessment facilitated by Dr. Mueller. In this workshop, he will discuss tools, terminology, and rubrics faculty can use for implementing Authentic Assessments in the classroom. During this 3-hour workshop for faculty supervisors, Dr. Mueller will give an overview of the faculty workshop on Authentic Assessment. Following will be an activity and discussion on strategies supervisors can use to engage faculty in the student learning outcomes assessment process.  



As a result of successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify strategies within the participant's administrative area to assist faculty in implementing Student Learning Outcomes assessment
  • Understand the elements of authentic assessment

How to Register

Registration for CT&D workshops are through the Student Information and Registration system.  The process for registering for a CTD workshop will be the same as registering for a regular class at MDC.

Make a note of the Reference Number for the workshop then go to Registration Instructions

Once you have registered for a class, you can print your schedule.    Please make every effort to attend once you've registered as seats are limited.     However, If you need to drop, you can also do this through the Web Registration screen.     CTD classes will appear on your transcript as non-credit classes.
