Flashlight Online Users:

We have just discovered a bug in the Internet Explorer 6 browser that prevents downloading in the analyze area of Flashlight Online.

The error message reads:

Internet Explorer cannot download...xxx.asp?survey=ZSxxx from ctlsilhouette.ctlt.wsu.edu. Internet explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.

We are working to resolve this issue. However, there is no code change we can make to Flashlight Online to fix this problem.

Microsoft has confirmed that there is a problem in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. There is currently no fix in place.  It only effects the IE 6 Windows browser.  Therefore:

One workaround is to use a different browser for downloading data, response codes or survey questions.

Another workaround is to use the view online link using IE and then from the file menu, use ‘save as HTML’ to save the file to your local computer.

Please pass this information on to the other Flashlight Online users at your institution.

Thanks,
