Electronic Mailing Lists

 

Users who subscribe to electronic mailing lists must change their email address from @mdc.edu to @mdc.edu.

This change is warranted to prevent email interruptions from these lists once the College starts accepting emails addressed only to @mdc.edu. This change is anticipated to take place the first week of October 2003.

There are other email lists that use the LSoft Listserv mailing list. This is where most academic mailing lists would fall. These lists are usually characterized by a list administration address of listserv@somedomain.com, and a mailing list address of listname-l@somedomain.com. To change your email address on these lists, you must first unsubscribe the @mdc.edu e-mail address and re-subscribe using the new @mdc.edu e-mail address. 

 

If you have subscribed to any online information system, such as FRS or other agencies, and have used your @mdc.edu mailing address, you must logon on to agency’s homepage and change your email address.

 

 

If your outgoing e-mail address changes to @mdc.edu before you unsubscribe from one of those lists, you will have to contact the list maintainer to remove your @mdc.edu e-mail address, and subscribe the @mdc.edu email address.
