December 1, 2007

The fourth and fifth grade students in Lenora B. Smith’s Saturday Academy worked with Farmer Ciff to expand the garden.  We weeded and replanted the ring garden and added three new rectangular garden beds.  Now each grade level, 2nd –5th has its own garden bed to care for!

November 29, 2007

25 fourth and fifth grade students at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church School gathered to listen to Farmer Cliff and help prepare the garden beds for planting.  Together we churned the soil around the rings, poured new soil and compost, planted  a variety of herbs and vegetables and mulched the area.
