Main Page About Vermicomposting  Build a Bin Worms in Action School Projects Math Project

The children at Holmes Elementary knew a few things about worms before we came but after telling them some fun facts about worms they seemed much more eager to see and have them. These kids loved the idea of playing with worms and having a class pet.

When we explained the objective of composting some children seemed excited and even stated that they would tell their mom’s. The children had fun building the bin (drilling was pretty popular) and holding the worms. The kids seemed to have a fun time as we worked with them and seemed very pleased with themselves and us as they hugged and thanked us as we left.
