Project Bridge at Shake-A-Leg Miami:  This project as shake a leg is for special needs teenagers get aquire Life Skills that prepares them for independent life.

This group was extremely excited to get to work. They asked so many questions and seemed so fascinated as we explained what we were going to do, how and the benefits. Each student was at each station (drilling, worms, and newspaper shredding) at least once.

In the other schools the girls seemed to be a little hesitant towards holding the worms but at this school the girls adored the worms and the boys seemed more hesitant towards the worms even though they all seemed to be comfortable with the worms at the end. Except one guy who said he was finally okay with the idea of the worms being present since they did good, but he’d just prefer not to hold one. This project was perhaps the most gratifying.
