Course Description
The purpose of this training is to provide child care workers with a basic understanding of appropriate practices for working with school-age children in a child care setting. The participant will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for assisting with the implementation of a developmentally appropriate program for children ages five through twelve. If this ten-hour course is used as a part of the required forty-hour certification, it must be completed within one year of the starting date.

Evaluation
Students use the form SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE WORKER 10 HOUR TRAINING MODULE COURSE EVALUATION to evaluate the course.
Make-up
There is no make-up. Students are encouraged to attend class on the scheduled dates. If one class is missed, students must retake the entire class.
