Colloquia

"Every academic experience was mirrored by an equally and as fulfilling practical experience"
Comment by Joanne Williams 2005 graduate of The Honors College and 2007 graduate from Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts with a major in Economics.

Colloquium is a wonderful opportunity for students of The Honors College to come together as a community to discuss local and world topics that increase their socio-cultural knowledge. It is a bimonthly afternoon program held at each campus from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Campus Directors provide a semester by semester schedule to students enrolled in The Honors College.

The program is designed by faculty, and in some cases students, to complement learning and build community. The presentations cover a wide variety of topics, and are offered by students, faculty, community leaders, THC alumni, artists and national/internationally recognized speakers. In general, students are encouraged to keep all Thursday afternoons open in case adjustments to the schedule need to be made.
