In an effort to identify more universities that will provide guaranteed admission from honors to honors and transfer scholarships to students in The Honors College, two articulation agreements are in the process of development. The two agreements are separate, but were originated as part of a grant approved by the state of Ohio. Urbana University, located in Urbana, Ohio and Heidelberg College, Tiffin, Ohio both have established and credible honors programs. Two meetings have taken place in which all parties cautiously discussed the advantages and opportunities at each institution. The Ohio teams visited Miami Dade College and saw first hand the quality of our students, resources, programs and the expertise of our faculty and were genuinely impressed. At this stage, all are reviewing the common courses to determine what can be appropriately and seamlessly transferred to the upper division.
