Employee Dental Insurance

Miami Dade College offers dental coverage to employees who have completed thirty (30) days of full-time employment with no break in service. The options are Humana/PPO and Humana/DHMO Dental Plan. Employee DHMO Coverage is fully paid by the College. Those who wish to enroll in the PPO coverage or in family coverage must pay the difference from the DHMO employee cost. Married couples employed by the College have the opportunity to reduce their premium cost in the same manner as health insurance.

Effective December 31, 2014, CompBenefits of Georgia, Inc. merged with Humana Employers Health Plan of Georgia, Inc. You will receive a new identification card reflecting this change. There are no changes to your benefits or rates.

Select the dental program you wish to enroll in very carefully. Once your membership in the program begins no change in the program can be made until an annual open enrollment period is offered.
