Holidays/Recess Periods

Instructional personnel on basic year contract are scheduled to work Fall, Spring, Summer Session A or Fall, Spring, Summer Session B based on student and program needs. If instructional personnel work during a non-scheduled six-week term, they are paid at the overload rate.

All full-time faculty, professional exempt contractual (PEC), professional exempt non-contractual (PENC), and support non-exempt (SNE) personnel shall observe the specific holidays and recess period(s) for the academic/fiscal 2013-2014 calendars as follows:

August 2013

August 21, 2013 Last day of Extended Year Contracts (215 days) for instructional personnel

August 22, 2013 Contract beginning date for instructional personnel.

August 31, 2013 Observance of Labor Day for instructional personnel

   
September 2013  

September 1, 2, 2013 Observance of Labor Day for instructional personnel.

September 2, 2013 Observance of Labor Day for non-instructional personnel.

   
November 2013  

November 9-11, 2013 Observance of Veterans Day for instructional personnel

November 11, 2013 Observance of Veterans Day for non-instructional personnel.

November 28-30, 2013 Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday for instructional.

November 28,29, 2013 Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday for non-instructional personnel.

   
December 2013  

December 1, 2013 Observance of Thanksgiving Holiday for non-instructional personnel

December 23-31, 2013 College Winter Recess for instructional personnel.

August 2, 2014 Last day of the Basic Year Contract (197 days) working Summer Session B for instructional personnel.

August 20, 2014 Last day of Flexible (197 days) and Extended Year Contracts (215 days) for instructional personnel.
