Part-time SNE:
Based on Procedure 2831 (Compensation Practices - for Non-Instructional Personnel ), part-time SNEs are limited to work 25 hours per week – collegewide, regardless of the number of assignments they hold. However, if a part-time does work more than 40 hours in one week, s/he is entitled to overtime. Overtime hours must be entered on the Odyssey Timesheet. Overtime data entry is recorded on line two of the timesheet.
Example: Worked a total of 42.50 hours in one week

Compensation Time (for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week)
Comp Time must be approved in advance by the supervisor. Comp time overtime is calculated the same as paid overtime. Comp time is available to full-time employees only .
Comp time overtime is entered in Odyssey Time and Attendance under Time Type COME (Compensatory Time-Earned). Overtime calculations must be done manually; then entered in Time and Attendance as follows:
Example: Worked 45 hours in one reporting week period
- The first two and one half hours beyond 37.5 hours is calculated as Regular Overtime.
- The hours beyond 40 hours per week (example: 5 hours) are calculated as at Time and a Half.
2.5 hours at regular overtime (2.5 x 1.0 = 2.5 hours)
5.0 hours at time and a half (5 x 1.5 = 7.5 hours)
