Criteria for Overall Performance Evaluation Categories
for Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) Employees

A standard evaluation form is available on the Human Resources website. This form should be completed and sent through administrative channels to Human Resources.

Excellent

  • Always exceeds expectations/position requirements.
  • All planned goals achieved above established standards.
  • Consistently exceeds all requirements of this position. This caliber of performance is easily recognized by others in related areas as distinguished performance.

Satisfactory with Commendation

  • Usually exceeds expectations/position requirements.
  • Demonstrates a level of accomplishment that goes beyond reasonable standards of performance.
  • Consistently demonstrates outstanding achievement in terms of quality and quantity of work.

Satisfactory

  • Meets and sometimes exceeds expectations/position requirements. Demonstrates good, solid, consistent performance.
  • The majority of employees might be expected to achieve at this level of performance.

Satisfactory with Reservation

  • Performance in one or more critical areas does not meet expectations/position requirements.
  • Demonstrates a level of accomplishment in some key areas of responsibility that is below standards.
  • Performance is marginal or inconsistent and improvement is needed in certain areas.

Unsatisfactory

  • Consistently fails to meet expectations/ requirements of the position.
  • Performance, in general, is unacceptable.
  • General performance is clearly below job requirements in quality and quantity of work.
