REQUIREMENTS
Many courses offered by the School of Education include a field experience component. School districts in the state of Florida require a criminal background check for field placement students and interns. Fingerprinting and criminal background check procedures are at the student’s expense. Students with felony arrests may wish to consider these requirements carefully, and if necessary, seek advice from an advisor in the School of Education before enrolling in courses with the field experience requirement. Students without a valid social security number will not be eligible for placement in the local school district.
