As early childhood educators, we feel it is critical for us to understand your needs and values, as a parent, so that we can best serve your child. Our goal is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment, building a sense of community among parents, children and staff. Each child is regarded as a unique individual. We value and celebrate each child’s diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic background. In consideration of the whole child, we strive to nourish the mind, body and sense of self for continued growth. We welcome you to our Center and strongly believe that parents are the first, and most important teachers of their children.
We want to share our open door policy with you; therefore, we welcome your interest and participation. We wish you and your family well in your busy lives. We thank you for sharing your family with us.
Our staff works with families to develop a curriculum that emerges from the children’s interests. Topics for exploration emerge from the conversations of and with children, through community and family events, and through knowledge of individual children’s particular interests. Teachers and parents work as a team to formulate “threads” of learning to guide the direction of the children’s projects.
