ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
Associate in Arts Degree (A.A.)
The Associate in Arts degree is the degree designed for transfer to upper-division universities. These university parallel or college transfer areas of concentration prep[are students to enter the junior year at four-year upper-division colleges and universities.

A.A Degree Majors- Natural Science (Atmospheric Science and Meteorology, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Geology and Physics)
A.A Degree Majors- Social Sciences Anthropology, History, international Relations, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work)
Associate in Science Degree (A.S.)
The Associate in Science degree is awarded to students who successfully complete one of the Occupational, education, or Allied Health programs. These areas of study are designed primarily to prepare students for immediate employment. However, credits earned for many courses in these programs are acceptable to upper-division colleges should the student decide to continue toward a four-year degree.

The College offers a variety of educational opportunities for those who wish to prepare for healthcare careers. Any students interested in any of the Applied Science or Allied Health programs are encouraged to consult advisors at the Medical Campus to receive the most current information regarding program admission. Student Life Skills refers to the areas of study that prepare students for college and life success. Student Life Skills courses are designed to teach students to identify and develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that enhance college success, retention, and lifelong learning.
