MISSION
|
| The mission of the department of Public Safety is to support the objectives and goals of the College in its quest for academic excellence, support to the college community, and quality service to provide a multi-cultural environment spread over six campuses with associated outreach centers. Public Safety’s primary focus is on safety and the preservation of life, prevention of crime and other activities detrimental to the learning environment, and provident excellent safety and Public Safety services to the college community, while at the same time, ensuring an atmosphere conducive to the pursuit of educational goals and personal growth. |

| GOALS |
- Establish a cohesive and supportive work environment, one that encourages information with emphasis on quality customer service.
- Provide protection of persons and property through pro-active crime prevention services.
- Develop and utilize data based technology to track and monitor safety and Public Safety trends, analyze data, and allocate resources to counter incidents and events that adversely impact the College Mission.
- Develop public awareness, support, and involvement, in our college community policing efforts.
- Become and integral part in the success of the College community, a department highly trains that is widely respected and trusted.
- Achieve voluntary compliance with rules, regulations and law, through equal application of safety and Public Safety enforcement.
- Maintain a commitment to Service Excellence.
