E PORTFOLIO
OF THE MONTH |
The new year is upon us. We have added three new faculty members to our list of participants and many new classes. The students’ participation is exciting, look for samples on this website.
As with all good products, improvement and enhancing portfolios is and on-going process. LiveText will be making three sets of upgrades this year.
The first occurred on August 15th, the second will be around labor Day, and the final version will be on-line for Thanksgiving.
Be sure and visit our new E-portfolio lab (Monday-Friday 1230-4:30) and/or call the support team for an appointment on how to navigate through the new pages of LiveText.
Also look for exciting announcements for both faculty and students. Françoise and Felix will be conducting mini-workshops to help you spruce up your portfolios.
Again, welcome back to what promises to be a new and exciting year, and please let us know if we can be of any assistance to you. |

Creating an Electronic Portfolio This is a Web Quest designed to assist you in creating your teacher portfolio electronically, it can be helpful in creating all types of portfolios. Your portfolio should display your talents, knowledge and skills. The question that you should ask is "What am I trying to tell the reader about myself?" How you answer this question depends on your targeted audience. Remember, your portfolio is a personal reflection. It should look very professional and should include the following: (What is actually included will vary depending on how you intend to use your portfolio.)
Creating Electronic Portfolios Portfolios may be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. Here, we describe some of the possible activities to encourage students to review their own work, analyze their own learning strategies and assess their collaboration with others.
