Membership shall be open to all Miami-Dade College, InterAmerican Campus students that meet the following qualifications:

• Must have graduated from high school or received a GED ( no dual enrollment students)
• You need about 10 hours a week to be an SGA member.
• Your home campus needs to be InterAmerican Campus.
• Must be enrolled in no fewer than six credits during the Fall and Spring term and three credits during the Summer term. ( Taking at least six of those credits at InterAmerican Campus
  during the Fall and Spring term)
• Must have a GPA of a 2.0 for all Members and Senators and a 2.5 for all Officers.

All SGA members are automatically members of the Florida Junior Community College Student Government Association (FJCCSGA). The purpose of this organization is to promote leadership development; to encourage responsibility; self discipline and good citizenship district and state wide.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Student Government Association, please fill out the Membership Application and submit it to the Student Government Association office. If you wish to become a Senator, fill out the membership application and attach the Senator Affidavit form. The Senator Affidavit form requires endorsement from twenty (20) current students. Please turn all forms into the Student Government Association Office located in Room 1106.
