This program is designed to prepare students as early childhood education caregivers with an infant/toddler specialization or provide supplementary training for persons previously or currently employed in these occupations.

Program Details

Students will learn essential components of quality care and education including, but not limited to establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment, rules and regulations, and family interactions. Additional areas of study include:

  • Early childhood education
  • Guidance techniques
  • Nutrition
  • Child growth and development

Career Prospects

The College Credit Certificate (CCC) enables the student to enter the workforce and provide an academic pathway into an Associate in Science degree program. Employment opportunities include in home or center based programs for infants/toddlers and job roles such as:

  • Childcare Worker
  • Preschool Teacher, Except Special Education
  • Nanny
