This dynamic seminar provides the officer who “works the street” with the knowledge necessary to identify and preliminarily investigate potential international and domestic terrorist activity. Emphasis is placed on early identification and intervention by local law enforcement resources as fundamental means to prevent terrorism.

Training topics include: History and Cause of terrorism against the United States; Overview of International & Domestic Terrorist organizations as well as local Sovereign Citizens groups. This training can be applied to salary incentive or mandatory training.

Instructor(s): Julio R. Pinera has 26 years of combined military and Law Enforcement experience. During his 22 years at the Miami Police Department, he served in several investigative and tactical units. He was assigned to work with the FBI Terrorism Task Force for several years focusing investigative efforts on international and domestic Terrorism investigations. Additionally, he was trained as a Certified Bomb Technician and served in that capacity for 10 years. He developed this brief, but comprehensive course drawing from years of direct experience complimented by attendance to various vetted training opportunities.
