BIOGRAPHY
Having recorded with some of the biggest names in pop music, including Barry Gibb and Michael Jackson, as well as performing in some of the biggest concert venues in the world, Hal Roland has enjoyed the levels of success that all contemporary musicians dream of. He started his career touring with 80's pop sensation Expose' and Jon Secada. He subsequently began arranging and producing music for the TV show 'Star Search'. He also was called upon to arrange and recorded the soundtrack for the musical "1492", which was recognized by the Bush Administration (41) as the official show of the quincentennial celebration of Columbus Discovering America. He then continued on to record and perform with many top artists worldwide.

In addition to his performing and production credits, Mr. Roland is a published author of a textbook on keyboard programming called ''FM Synthesis for the DX7'', published by Warner Brothers Music, and taught these and related subjects at the University of Miami. Additionally, Mr. Roland has shared these experiences and perspectives with the public, on his Radio Show ''The Latin Jazz Quarter'' on WDNA 88.9 FM for the last 15 years, but decided to retire from radio broadcasting when he started teaching at FIU and Miami Dade College. He also is the Program Director for "Jazz Radio Miami", an internet radio station dedicated to playing and promoting the many jazz artists the live and perform in South Florida.

Mr. Roland has a diverse and loyal public following, and is a south Florida native, and currently lives in Miami.
