We at the School of Continuing Education and Professional Development strive daily to meet the needs of the constituency of our service area through certificate programs, courses designed to promote health and well-being, courses that feed into additional educational opportunities and on-line learning opportunities.

Our goal and mission is to make the College more accessible to the public and to meet community needs not served by traditional college programs.

Mr. McGinnis is the Director of the School of Continuing Education & Professional Development at Miami Dade College. He is responsible for the non-credit activities offered by Miami Dade College at all of its campuses and outreach centers from the Aventura to Homestead.

He was reared in North Carolina and studied Business at Lenoir-Rhyne University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. Additionally he earned Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Non-Profit Organizational Management from Capella University and is in the dissertation process of his Human Services, Public Administration Doctoral studies.
