Dr. Edward L. Thomas (Lee) is a 3rd generation educator. He is the child of missionary and teaching parents, and spent a portion of his youth in Honduras, aiding his parents in their work.
Over the last 15 years, he has taught and/or served as an administrator in virtually every segment of public education. His arrival at MDC marks the second time in his career to serve as an academic chair at a college.
In his spare time, Lee plays the banjo, guitar and violin; he also likes to be involved in social service charities benefiting people affected/infected by HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Thomas has been with the Miami Dade College family since 2006.
