MDC students are expected to adhere to ethical and legal standards in the use of technology on
campus. Students are expected to:
- Use only legally obtained, licensed data or software in compliance with license or purchase
agreements and federal copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Limit the use of the computing systems to activities related to the mission of the College.
Unauthorized use of the computer systems for personal profit is prohibited.
- Take precautions to prevent viruses or other invasive software from infecting the equipment.
- Activities at the Lab are individual activities only, no study groups are allowed nor accompanying non current business students.
- Respect the privacy of others by refraining from inspecting, broadcasting or modifying
personal data without the consent of the individuals involved.
- Use these resources efficiently. Computing tools, like the library resources, are shared, public
goods. Every effort should be made to use and treat this equipment with care and good
sense.
- Children cannot be in the premises under College Liability Policy.
Misuse of computer, networking, or information resources may result in loss of computing
privileges. In addition, misuse can be prosecuted under applicable statutes.
