The College has a self-service password reset system for your MDCC account, which would allow you to reset that password should you forget the password and lose access to your computer. To reset your password, you must setup a challenge question. You can setup your challenge question by clicking on the "Update My Challenge Question" link at http://resetpassword.mdc.edu, from the Employee Account Tools menu.

To help you create passwords that are easy to remember, use the following steps:

  1. Create a sentence that you can readily remember like "it's a beautiful sunny day for sailing too"
  2. Create an acronym from the first letter of each word "iabsdfst", any letter from each word will do, be consistent
  3. Change the (for) and (too) to numbers "iabsd4s2"
  4. Capitalize any two letters "iAbsD4s2"

The detailed requirements of Procedure 7932 are available online at
https://www.mdc.edu/procedures/Chapter7/7932.pdf.

Note: If you have tried the self-service password and prefer technical assistance from our help-desk, you must come in person to room #6325 and present a picture ID to have your password reset. For security reasons, no passwords will be reset over the phone.
